Walk in the footsteps of Pope Leo! We will visit many sites surrounding his life in the Chicago area. His childhood home, where he was born, his parish and the schools he attended, where he taught and said Mass, where he was head of the Augustinians and more!
We will also visit and have a tour at Our Lady of Pompeii Shrine. Our Lady, under this title, has become important in this papacy already. The Pope was elected on May 8, 2025 – the Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii. And, in his first address as Pope, he noted that Pope Leo XIII had elevated the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii to a Papal Basilica in 1901. This is a beautiful church!
