Join Fr. Caraher on a prayerful pilgrimage to Marytown—the National Shrine of St. Maximilian Kolbe. This pilgrimage site and sacred space in Libertyville, Illinois is a ministry of the Conventual Franciscan Friars where they live together in community according to the ideals of Saint Francis.

The Shrine includes a Retreat House, Conference Center, Gift Shop, Educational Holocaust exhibit, relics of St. Maximilian and several outdoor shrines, all set on 15 acres of beautiful land. At the center of Marytown is the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, considered one of the most beautiful pilgrimage sites in the nation.

It is referred to as the “Third City of the Immaculate” modeled after the evangelization centers created by Kolbe at Niepokalanów, Poland and Nagasaki, Japan. Our visit here will include a tour, prayer time, lunch and talks by Fr. Caraher and a Friar.

The cost is $120 per person. This includes a transportation, tours, tips and a hot lunch at Marytown.

We will start with a private Mass at Our Lady of Consolation at 7:45 am. We hope to be back at 5:30pm.
